Yesturday after the race, go Gordon, we decided to go for a quick hike before it got dark. We chose the Sequoia trail which leads to Semperviren falls and slippery rock.
Big Basin is California's oldest state park, full of redwoods, for those who are interested. It's nestled in the Santa Cruz mountains, probably not far from Mtnfolk mike.

Anyways here are some pics of the wife and I, it was dusk, so you'll have to excuse some of the photos:

Semperviren Falls and some terrain:

We got out of there just before it got dark. I like it when my wife makes such a good suggestion at the last minute!

P.S. this is the knife I had along, just didn't think to take a shot of it while it was out and about like you guys do:

Yeah, if it wasn't so last minute, I would have given you a call, but as it was, we were just trying to get there and back out before dark.

Well, there are a lot of burned out redwoods in these parts, so I doubt it, but who knows...

Some nice views, and I like that little mora too!

Thanks, I put the handle on it, and have been trying to use it as much as possible to get a feel for what I like and don't like about it.

Thanks guys, we had fun, even if we were half jogging lol.

Hey, welcome to the forum! It IS a great place for families, easy access and pretty mild terrain. Have fun while you're there!
I take it you live in the area then? Your profile doesn't say.
