Spyderco sent Cutlerylover spyderco knife cut outs, the metal from the spyder hole. Can I get my hand on some of these?

i don't see why you would want some, but if you bothered to pay attention to the video, he said he sent spyderco a letter and Jhones sent him some.

I just think it be cool. S90V spyderhole? Eh? Or a m4? It'd be cool, same way you'd buy a spyder sticker or those edge cutout things. If anyone knows, let me know.

I heard that we were going to have a bowl of holes in the stroe for those interested.

Hi AM,

MIM has a lot of limitations. We are using the process for some things, but materials like S90V would not be possible. It is certainly not less expensive when tooling costs are included.

I'm still pretty uneducated about the MIM process, despite owning an Offset now.

What happens to the metal lost to the hole?

In MIM the metal is cast (molded) into the desired shape. No metal is "lost" to the hole. There isn't any metal cast into the location of the hole in the first place so there is none there to be "lost"

So if I sent a letter in, I could get a couple?

Does anybody remember that J Smith thought of this years ago?

Oh man, it would be very neat if the holes came in the box with the knife :D

With a little spyder hole in them. For necklace use.

I asked Mr Smith for a few of these a few years back (and offered to pay postage). What I received was a plain white non reinforced letter style envelope with large holes all along the bottom where the "Spyder holes" had cut themselves out (and presumeably made a break for it) :D - and I live in the same State as Mr Smith, so the Spyder Holes didn't even like travelling a short distance in a letter envelope.

If Spyderco is generous enough to send them out in a proper Mailer (even if there is a small charge) I say go for it.

I think that that has already been brought up and shot down for some reason or another. I guess it'd be like buying a car, and opening the trunk to find all the cutout scrap. Neat for a nut, but for the average user, probably a little unnecessary. That and it'd probably be hard to do production wise.

you know those friendship bracelets? what if you made one with those holes? dope.

hmm, if you make necklaces out of the spyder holes, can i buy the holes created from that? Just kidding :D

I need some too..
Just let me know and you can have my addy..
I will make you a nice necklace out of one...:D:thumbup:
