Spyder meets co

Is that spider deadly? In SA you probably have a bunch of nasty creepy crawlies I would imagine.

I see you did the zip-tie mod. What do you think? I took my tie off my Delica but kept it on my Centofante 4. It seems to work better on some models than others. It was fine on the Delica but the Delica is so easy to open anyway and it has a more stubby blade that I felt it just got in the way.

You should look into getting a Spyderco Military. That is one great Spyderco. If you like the Delica, you will blown away by the Military.

No he was not deadly. It is mostly dark spyders with bright colours or bright spyders that are trully nasty! But I still play it save and try not to come to close! Rather save than sorry! The zip-tie works extremely well! This is my first Syderco and I am very pleased with it! To tell you the truth I am about to post a thread of Benchmade vs. Spyderco. I have been waiting for my Benchmade Grip 551 for 4 months and am getting annouyed. I am thinking of taking the money I would have spend on the Grip to Buy a Pacific Salt. What do you think? I would love a paramillitary! Haven't seen a Military in real life before. Only on photo's

The paramilitary is an excellent knife and will exceed a griptillian in essentially every way (of course, it cost twice as much, so that's not too surprising). If you can afford it, I'd definitely prefer the para.

I just got a yellow PE Pac Salt and I very happy with it. I have not used it too much but it seems like it is going to make me a good salt water knife. I use my Rescue for lakes and rivers but sometimes I go to the Outer Banks and the Pac Salt seems like a better choice.

The Para is a much better knife the Grip. I really don't get the whole love of the Grip. It is only 440c and as a whole, it is not a very good knife. The Military or Para blows it out of the water. As they are much more money, that may not work for you. I would rather have a pac Salt than a Grip.

The Griptilian is a very good knife. That doesn't mean it's a good knife for everyone. Some of us like flatter knives, or metal-handled knives, or whatever. But we don't need to build up Spydies by knocking the competition.

marthinus, if you like the Grip, don't wait, forget it, get a D'Allara drop point. Comparable ergonomics, a fine hard work knife. The original D'Allara rescue has a fully serrated blade.
