Hoping someone might know this guy personally, here's a link to his eBay account

https://m.ebay.com/sch/i.html?sid=spyderbugs&_pgn=1&isRefine=true

He has some really good knives and pricing so I bought a lionspy from him a week ago but he doesn't seem to be uncontactable so hoping someone here could get me in contact with him as I really want the knife and just want to see if there is an issue with the order before having to put a claim through on eBay to get my cash back.

Doesn't seem to have anything listed anymore, the Lionspy has been faked. So how good (% compared to other listings) was the deal, and what other knives were up for sale? I'm thinking you might have gotten got man.

Check his sold listings and he's got alot of sale and pretty much all good feedback, very paranoid about fakes for them as from what I've seen they make very convincing clones of the lionspy.

With eBay the buyer protection is pretty much flawless and he hasn't marked the item as shipped so there shouldn't be an issue getting the funds back but I really want the knife and not many sellers ship outside of the US so was pretty happy when I saw the listing come up.

Spyderbugs is legit. She (not he) is a direct family member of the Glessers. I would try sending another eBay message regarding your purchase to her, it would be very unusual for her not to respond. I have also bought many knives from her over the years with zero issues. The reason they’re so cheap is that they come straight from the SFO factory inventory. Hope that helps! :)

It does and I'll send another message, but did think it was a bit strange that she never responded especially after seeing how good her account was I'm assuming she got paranoid with me being in south Africa but I just like knives;) but hopefully someone else comes across this thread and can help out me and put me in direct contact with her

I couldn't find anything earlier, but I see it now. There are some oddities between different countries ebay sites. It all looks legit, on that end, those prices are good, but not too good as it were.
I've found ebay messaging can be a little odd sometimes, so hopefully a second message gets through and it all gets sorted. Given your country of residence, do you use the US ebay, or are is there an SA version? That might cause a bit of an issue, but you should be fine in this case.

Nah we don't have a dedicated eBay for south Africa so just have to keep an eye open for sellers willing to ship internationally as they guys who do bring in knives into the country charge about a 100% mark up on what you'd expect to pay in the states and I can't justify paying that much for knives.

Well let's wait and see what happens, hopefully she does ship it out but if not there's no point in crying over spilt milk
