Spyderco 2018 Factory Sale

I went, I saw, and here’s what I conquered :

The friction folder and the mantra 2 are not seconds, all the rest are. I struggle to find issues with anything.

It’s an awesome sale.

I bought one of the friction folders several weeks ago there for $50. They were two for $50 at this sale

I almost bought one of those starburst models but my wife liked my Sebenza versions better and talked me out of it. I kind of regret not getting one.

I got the deal on the friction folder and gave the 2nd one to my buddy that went with me. The fluted titanium Native (I think that’s the one you’re referring to) has been my favorite so far. You got some good stuff too!

There’s a notch on the right side of the blade right past the jimping. It doesn’t stick out really well, but it’s easy to see once you know what you’re looking for. Here’s an example.

Look closely at the blade spine near the hole and you can see the notches cut in these.

Do they usually have much selection for stones? I saw a post showing a couple of the small tear drop stones and a mention of a goldenstone, but that's all I've heard of.

They had a bunch of disassembled Doublestuffs, a pile of Cat's Eyes, and at least a few brown benchstones. That's all I recall from a quick glance (while snagging another Cat's Eye with a thought of constructing an oversized Sharpmaker).

Glad to see the posts. I was in the week before, picked up a flyer on my way out, but couldn't get back on the seventeenth. Congrats on some great finds!
