• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

sliceofaloha sliceofaloha that’s not how it works. If you melted S90V with an equal amount of S110V you would end up with S100V, and everyone knows S100V is total junkola. That’s why you never see it for sale.

Spy 27 is called that because of the atomic number of cobalt, but that’s not really the interesting part of it since the conbalt content isn’t very high and it’s not a high speed/hot work steel. What is interesting about SPY27 is the nitrogen and niobium, even a small (1%) addition of Nb will produce carbides (which are among the hardest type of carbide), it’s expected to have Vanandium, Niobium and chromium carbides but be heat treated to emphasize the first two; wear resistance is expected to be close to SG2 or S35VN but easier to sharpen due to lower V content.
Well with that said about cobalt...what do you think of the spy27 coming out? Im pretty sure that has tons of cobalt

I'm not sure if I understand how it works, but a knife (Canis) from Reveal #5 is already available while some of reveal #4 (e.g., Rex-45 orange g10 Shaman)still have not hit the market. They do not follow the reveal order?
