Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

They went linerless when it was switched from S35vn to S30v. The s110 is still being sold as liners
If you can find a S35vn it will have liners

I didn’t know this.
Is there a big weight difference?

I only have frn Natives, 2 5’s and 2 of the previous version so I have yet to handle a G10 Native.

The Native5 is a superb little knife though, lately it has been getting more carry time than my beloved Manix.

Linered G10 4.5 oz ( heavy for a small knife but talk abiut solid feeling!)
Linerless G10 3.7 oz

In the UK you're pretty much limited to carrying only a non-locking folding knife with a blade length of 3 inches or less.

If you have one of the newer multi-tools with locking blades you're out of luck as well.

Even chefs are limited to only carrying their kitchen knives to and from work.

Most knife crimes in the UK are committed with kitchen knives.

Some people still prefer Native5 with liners but I'm not one of those. I got one of the first linerless Native5 G-10 folders and it's very solid and light.

50% is very high... what’s the YoY increase from 2018 and 2019 in terms of sprint & exclusive %?

In the first 5 months of 2019, there were 36 new Spyderco knife models out of which 19 were Sprints or Exclusives. So, about 53% last year.

I believe once the new Golden plant became fully operational the number of US-made Sprints and Exclusives went up quite a bit. Also, it helps that the most wanted such items are the likes of ParaMilitary2, Para3, Native5, Manix2, Shaman, etc. all made at Golden.

Heck yes. Gonna try at least. Finally some love for the Manix XL.
But I will probably miss them. I never have good luck chasing these limited releases or sprints. Thus the reason I gave up on them long ago. This one however has brought me back. I`ll try to get one, try really hard. Then end up cussin for the next week when it doesn`t happen. Believe me, you will hear me from across the USA, lol. Thats how bad I want this one.

You have to admit a Manix XL in M4 has to be one BEAST of a hard use knife. I’m going to try and get one in satin.

It helps when you make a change that classifies a gun crime as such only once someone is caught and convicted of said crime.. kudos :thumbsup:

In the US we call that "cooking the books".

BRING ON THE SPRINT RUN NATIVE CHIEF'S :cool:

Right on with this comment. Narratives will always be shaped by those in power. It blows my mind that with all that is going on in this country (and world) that there is even one single solitary American who would sacrifice an iota of their constitutional rights.

But look at what has happened in Canada. And Australia. And Britain. Each time something bad happens, people seem to just line up to give up their freedoms in order to "feel more safe." Rationality goes right out the window. Trying to discuss things with facts gets shouted down. It's even a struggle here and I'm sure that struggle is just going to get harder....

Back to this thread... still checking every day for my Bombshell!

Thank god a spyderco release that I can say no to “blade black some...”. Those scales just look dirty to me. Hey the bombshell appears to be out to cc members.

After Dunblane in the late 90s there was a huge amount of support for banning handguns (and they mostly did), today the crusade is against knives because a huge majority of the violent crime in London especially is committed that way, Glasgow was very bad in the past but has gotten better. There is gun crime, but it’s rare, mostly the criminals with guns are the really serious hardcore ones, like Balkan gang members etc; they don’t “cook the books”, they just don’t have much gun crime. Air soft robberies are a big problem too, as ridiculous as that sounds.

Any word on K390 ship dates? Would hope to get that or SPY27 soon.

Only strengthens our 2nd amendment rights argument. It’s not the weapon that is bad it’s the criminal. Enough on that, any word on when the Spyopera will be available?
