Spyderco 2024 vol. 15 Reveal

I plan on getting a Sage 5 in Spy27, just need to decide between G10 or FRN. Very interested in the Cruwear Temperance too.

Looking forward to the Temperance fixed blade sprint run. I have an original Temperance that I've used hard over the years. It's a great design.

I think most people are just too young to know what a great model the original Temperance is, otherwise there'd be more fuss being made about this. Which is fine by me - less competition for the sprint run.

I asked for the OG Temperance and Street Bowie models to be brought back with modern hi-alloy steels ages ago. I asked again a couple of years back, and Sal said something was in the works. I hope this won't be the end, and we'll see the Street Bowie in a better steel as well - how about magnacut with an orange & black handle? [I'd prefer that, like the originals, they didn't have the stupid hole in the blade (that's what happens when you let the lawyers get involved in product design), but you can't have everything.]

I'll need a blackout P4 and a Temperance or two. Apart from that, big yawn.

The Street Bowie has quite possibly the worst ergonomics of any knife I have ever held, probably because of the length of my index fingers. The depth of the choil keeps me from getting a grip on that part of the handle. No matter what steel they make it in, it's a hard pass for me.

I was never a fan of the circles on the scales of the original Temperance (& now on the "to be released" models) but, if a Temperance 2 popped up on the Exchange or elsewhere "for the right price," I consider buying it now because it's one of the few Spydie fixed blades that I still don't own.

It's not a great handle for hard or sustained used, that's for sure. But it's secure in the hand, and for most utility purposes, placing the index finger along the spine with the middle finger against the back edge of the cut-out works quite well.

Blasphemy! The Temperance 2 is a carbuncle on the nose of the knife world! The Temperance handle divots help you to spin it quickly between forward and reverse grip.

Blasphemy!! It's OK, I'll buy 2 to make up for it 😁.

That's just it, it isn't secure in my hand. The choil is so deep that my long fingers can't reach the bottom without uncomfortable contortions

That temperance 2 above is a good looking blade, even with the hole. Good thing I'm not much of a fixed blade guy or I'd probably have to buy one.

Not going to be in a hurry but will eventually pickup the Techno 3, interesting that production will be out of Italy and not Taichung.

I am also looking for that spirit. If that is only 600 run, then i might be gone in days.

Been waiting/watching for this and noticed the plain edge was available this evening.

I picked up a PE from Knifecenter this morning. The SE ones have been sitting around for weeks. I assume the PEs will go a bit faster, but hopefully shouldn't be difficult to pick one up.

Where is the best place to preorder spyderco from? I live in NYC so it is even more challenge. I’m new to the ways of the spyder. Thanks.

I ordered a sprint Temperance in both blade configurations. Happy they were brought back!

Looks like the Techno 3 has a back spacer again, unless that’s just a shadow
