Lots of folks like Spyderco knives because they are well-crafted, well-designed, and made from quality materials. Another reason to like Spyderco is their quality customer service. I recently bought a J.D. Smith Spyderco that was awfully stiff, so much so that it was difficult to open with one hand, a serious problem with a combat knife. I contacted Spyderco, the company told me to send them the knife, they disassembled and serviced it, and sent it back to me nicely packaged at no charge. The knife now opens a little easier, but still not as easily as my other 10 Spydercos. Even so, I appreciated the fact that the company stood behind its products.
