What was the general opinion of the SS Adventura back in its day? Apart from the recurve I like the look of the knife.

A nice sharp scalpel of a knife. I got one and it's really thin and sharp and well made. It's discontinued but still available for a decent price.

It's a really cool knife. I EDC'd mine for a while, then the Military took over again.

Don't like recurves, especially on smaller blades. Being a lock back, it looks like it'd be heavier then my ATR, and that's on the upper limit of stainless steel handled knives for me.

The Adventura is actually much smaller and lighter than the ATR.
It's comparable in size to a Delica. Just a little bigger, maybe half an inch longer.

I may have to add one before they're all gone. Thanks for all the input.

What ? A Atr is probably 3 times as heavy as a Adventura.A Adventura is probably one of the lightest SS knives Spyderco has made that has any size to it.I wish the Adventura would have been larger.;)

It's a pretty solid knife and it has a 3 and 1/4" blade. It's not exactly small, just thin.
Specs:
length overall 7 7/16" (189 mm) blade length 3 1/4" (83 mm) blade steel VG-10
length closed 4 3/16" (106 mm) cutting edge 2 3/4" (70 mm) weight 3.8 oz (108 g)
hole diameter 1/2" (13 mm) blade thickness 3/32" (2.5 mm) handle material STAINLESS STEEL

It was designed by a forum member who goes by the name of Dialex. He is a real nice guy. He has a website with some other designs, some are pretty radical.

I snagged a NIB with "stated by seller" original plastic film intact and centered blade when closed this mornng. We shall see :) $90, shipped

You should be pleased. Nice knife. I carried mine for awhile, only to fall back into other fav EDC's.
