I have a very nice Spyderco Advocate CPM M4 with box. I am the second owner. It does have a small spot near the T in Taiwan. I can't tell what it is, it won't wipe off. I tried to get a photo of it, but the spot doesn't even photograph well!
Upadate: I believe this is the CQI version, I took a photo of the inside since that's the only way to tell apparently, put back together carefully and with patiences. blade centered and action is smooth. Added a photo for clarification, but I am no way an expert if someone out there knows differently.
