Spyderco and FRN handles

yeah, and ti will be colder than hell, and slippery when dry or when wet.

Seriously, if you had a knife company, you wouldn't choose titanium for a run of 10,000 knifes, you would lose the farm when you couldn't unload them. FRN offers an inexpensive option that works. I'd bet most that hate the look of FRN would change their minds if they had to cut in wet situations very often.

IF you are wanting a Endura or Delica and are concerned about FRN, I beleiver that a G10 handle version is coming out sometime this year. Not sure exactly when or how much they will retail for, but they are in the spyderco '08 calender.

The FRN is a seriously tough material. It is lighter and grippier than virtually anything other than sandpaper and with skeletonized metal liners it is very stiff and durable. I could never imagine having my Delica in G10 or SS. It's just perfect with FRN. My hands could be covered in vaseline and I could still grip the thing easily!

ummmh, never mind ... :p
but seriously, I have to agree w/quattrokid73, FRN esp. with 3D texturing like on my Native3 CE is what hooked me on Spydercos.... the Salt series in particular are almost "maintenance free" knives which i always thought was a "holy grail" in knives :)

when i got my first spyderco, a endura 4, i didnt like the FRN much either, but it really is pretty durable, and very cheap
