I got the Cara Cara 2 and decided I was going to wave it with a zip tie and was wondering if any one has had issues with the zip ties wearing the corners of your pockets out?

"Boy, did YOU get a wrong number."
Moving from Traditional To General...

Yep, the zip tie trick will shred your pockets, I literally have a old pair of jeans where the pocket has separated from the fabric, zip ties and rough g10. :)

Make sure you cut the tail off flush with the head, also sand the corners down slightly.

Tore up pockets is simply something we have to deal with to enjoy our hobby.

not a single one of my spydercos have zip ties and ive never had any issues putting them to use in an instant. that is the "benefit" of adding a zip tie, correct? and im with RedDevil, I think it detracts from the smooth lines of these fantastic folders.
just my .02

I went through the ghetto wave mod phase. It was very short lived. Great for getting the blade out quickly, bad for pockets and they get in the way when you need to use the whole length of the blade. I've gotten used to the spyder hole and it is now my preferred opening method.

Grab an Endura 4 Emerson!
No need for zip ties, (IMO) opens smoother with less effort than a real Emerson at half the price and looks better (not a fan of spydercos spine shape to accommodate thumb hole, but the wave changes that completely.)

I carry mine quite often! No shredded pockets yet!
