Spyderco Anticipation List

If I can't manage to get my hands on an s90v Yojimbo 2, I'm boycotting KnifeWorks for the rest of my life.
After that green PM2 fiasco, they're lucky I'm even willing to give them another shot :P

Hope you do boycott them..gives the rest of us a better chance at scoring one:cool:

The only 2 I'm looking forward too are the S90V Yo2 and the Farid K2...

No, I said if I don't get an S90V Yojimbo. I'm gonna try like hell. Just like I did on the green PM2.
I even set my alarm and woke up super early, but KW was unclear about what time they open for business.

Out of ALL my SpyderCo's, my EDC is the UK Penknife Lightweight Drop Point in brown scales with full Spyderedge. I actually appreciate the fact that it is not a locking knife as I use it at least a dozen times a day. So I was very pleased to see both the Pingo and the Spy DK as new releases and can't wait to get them in my pocket. Incidentally, another popular SpyderCo slip joint, the Pink Squeak, which so many folks here seem to flip out over rushing it to the dye tub, is Pink for a very good reason.
I am also very interested in the Nishijin Blue Glass Fiber Cricket. I like those scales!!

You had no less than three tries to get the green para.Try giving them a call and checking the exchange, and pre-order if possible this time. There has not been pre-order for the Yojimbo, but as it gets closer there may be. Try to stay ahead of the curve next time and I think you will land the ones you really want.Where were you when the pre-orders went up? KW is an awesome dealer and it's not KW's fault that you were out of the loop.Lets see...I waited more than a year for the pre-order(Spyderco production delays) and my order filled. Then they had a list to join if you emailed them for the extras that were originally for employees, but passed the knives to the public. Then they had a second run. There might have been a third run also.Fiasco not quite, but if you want high demand limited knives then stay plugged in here and check the exchange often as KW is always posting new items. You will increase your chance to land the knife that you really want be being a regular here.Best of luck and I hope you land a Yojimbo. It should be pretty easy. The patience is the hard part..........

Where do you guys get all your info?? Had no idea about the Yo in S90. Is it a limited run??

Ronin2!!! Is it really gonna happen??

Looking at the online prices, it looks as though spyderco is going the way of zero tolerance and benchmade: out of my budget, for the most part.

I'll probably get a serge dog tag. I'd like to get a chubby, but at around $300, why not just save up an extra $150 for a small sebenza. The pits looks cool, but again out of my price range. I'm just really looking forward to the native 5 lw.

Thank you for the link. This one seems to be a moving target in regards to being a full production or sprint. It probably will release in small batches similar to the Fluted TI military/ Native 5.I think there may be a very limited number of these released until some time next year.We will just have to wait and see.I should be in a good position to get one at some point.Spyderco is still undecided if this model will be a sprint or full production.I have always reckoned this model would be a limited production at best, but you never know.An interesting read and I really appreciate the transparency Spyderco shows to us.I will patiently wait and continue to enjoy the knives I currently have.I am pretty sure there will be some unexpected and exciting sprints released by Spyderco in 2014.
Best regards,

Haha, because $450 is 50% more than $300? Spyderco has a ridiculously complete lineup of very high performing knives for around $110 or less street price. It wasn't too long ago that you'd need to go to a custom maker for S110V, if you could get it at all, and now it's in an FRN production model. Yes, many of the new offerings are quite high end, but you do have to remember the large up-front investment required for the cheaper models (FRN mold costs), so don't expect them to churn those out.

Sal has said they are tweaking the Ronin2, but that they are not ready to show it yet. If it is as good as the last one I will buy multiples.
