This post may not fly with the moderators, but I do remember years ago that folks posted about bargains on Standards and Rookies at SMKW . In fact, those very posts got me to try my first Spyderco--a G10 Standard in ATS-55 that I still own. Since then, I've owned far more Spydercos than I care to count.

Anyway, this morning, I noticed that Sierra Trading Post is running a spring clearance of 20% off their already discounted prices. I'm not affiliated with Sierra, but as I've gotten back into camping and fly fishing, I sure seem to buy a lot of stuff there. Found some good deals on three Spyderco models and thought some folks here might be interested in picking up a bargain.

Salsas for $31.96
Temperances (black blade) for $47.96
Impalas for $75.96 ($79.96 for gut hook)

If you're interested, go to www.sierratradingpost.com and type "spyderco" in the upper-left-hand search box. Thinking about picking up one of the Temperances myself for camping/backpacking chores. Come with a nice little kydex-tek-lock set up.

Wow. 39.21 with shipping. That ain't bad!

Now, if I had seen this before I ordered the last two Spydies... :D

Something else worth mentioning. I check www.ebates.com from time to time because Sierra (along with a whole bunch of other companies and vendors) lists promotionals and coupons there. Sometimes, they do free shipping offers, sometimes discounts.

Right now, you can use coupon code LSC228 to get 10% off purchases of $100 or more at Sierra. So if you order several knives, they'll be even cheaper. No idea of how long this coupon code will be good though.

Spectre, this additional 20% spring clearance just started, so you wouldn't have seen it earlier.

I am a big Sierra Trading Post fan. I've actually bought things and then had them go cheaper a few days later, called Sierra and they happily adjusted my Visa bill! They have limits on this sort of thing of course, not sure of the specifics but give them a call.

I've had nothing but top notch service from this company. Will likely be ordering a Temperence from them this week.

Yeah, Sierra is a good outfit. Like REI and a few others, they offer quality brands and stand behind the products they sell 100%. Little surprise that Spyderco products show up in their inventory.

I just ordered the Temperance myself. Looks like a nice little camp knife at a great price.
