Spyderco Bill Moran fixed blade?

That guy is nuking the heck out of himself. I hope he had a lead vest and thyroid guard on.

:D

Its excellent for skinning deer.
I bought the trailing point version.
A good quality light weight handling knife.
Skid proof handle has to be held to be believed.

I think it's a great knife. It could be used as an EDC. I have the drop point and it makes a a very practical and great hunting knife. The sheath will adjust from horizontal to vertical. I generally carry it on my weak side with the handle angled at about 30 degrees toward me. I always assumed it didn't have a full length tang.

The TekLok makes for several options of carry. At an angle works fine for the Moran as does vertical and horisontal IMO.

If you think a knife must be full tang to be useful, you are wrong. There are many knives w/o a full tang. A partial tang is often what makes a blade more useful since it allows a different balance point and a more ergonomic handle. It's pretty easy to slap a few slabs around a blade, it takes more skill and design knowledge to make a partial tang knife. People w/o that skill perpetuate the myth that partial tang=inferior blade.

Bill Moran was a master smith and a knife design genius. Trust him, spyderco, and all thouse years of production. I've never heard a single complaint about the Moran (except for the switch to kydex sheath). I am sure if the partial tang was a problem it would have been outed by now.
