The all black Spyderco Dog Tag Folder Plain Edge Knife is based on a custom knife design by Serge Panchenko, and the construction method of this knife is a departure from Spyderco Knives traditional construction methods as with the satin finish version. A non-locking folder, the blade is held in place in the open position by a detent mechanism. A ball bearing in the handle scale’s integral spring arm indexes holes in the tang of the blade to hold it both open and closed.
