I'm considdering of buying a Spyderco BlackHawk... Please advise.

I own the following knives:

-Boker folder: ceramic blade and titanium handle.
-Spyderco: Howard Viele serrated
-Al Mar: SERE 2K, normal finish
-Cold Steel: Black Bear Classic
-SOG: SEAL 2000
-SOG: Multitool Powerplier

If I can help you with any information regarding them, feel free to ask.

Bye!

Hi, I just bought one Spydie Black Hawk and will give it back this afternoon, because when I did the spine-whack-test - not very hard -
the blade get closed and I hurt my index-finger, not too bad but too much. Maybe a Mondays-Knife.

could someone kindly post a pic or send a link to a pic of the Black Hawk?

thanks!

I have a BlackHawk and have been quite pleased with it. Solid blade, came very sharp and holds the edge pretty well, nice sharp tip, easy to open once I adjusted the pivot just a bit. Hadn't tried the "whack test" until last night, but it held up fine (though I don't think I'd use the thing as a skinny hammer...). Doesn't have quite the nice handle of my Pioneer or Savant, but it's good enough and this one takes much less pocket space so I end up carrying it about half the time. For my purposes I consider it a very good acquisition.

It's like a smaller version of my all-time favorite, the Renegade C23. So, I am looking at buying one. Aside from ebay, does anyone know where I might find a nice (prefer new) Blackhawk. I'll look at used if need be, but I know a lot of older knives can be purchased as new from various retailers. I just don't know if any. Help please.
Thanks.

ps. new to the forum. However, I'm an avid Spyderco collector.
