Hey guys, I'm new to knife collecting and I recently bought the spyderco tenacious. Great knife, I love it.
I was looking at getting the manix 2 or manix 2 XL and the spyderco paramilitary 2.

Are these great knives. And if there are any other knives that are great for Edc and the prices aren't jacked up way too high please, your insight is appreciated.

Welcome to Bladeforums.
What do you consider to be "jacked up too high?"
As far as the options you mention they are all good choices in so far as quality vs price is concerned. I doubt you would go wring with any of them. I own and have used the Manix2, Manix2XL, & Para2 for years.

I think that knife prices are very fair in relationship to historical values. You can buy a knife and use it for a couple years for probably less than a dollar a month. Spydercos standard models are very reasonable and the sprint runs usually go up in price from street prices.

Thanks for the insight guys. Looking forward to purchasing the manix 2 and the para 2.

Are there any other knives from spyderco that you'd recommend

Most of their models are great in my opinion. The military is my personal favorite so far. Haven't tried them all yet though. :-)

All models mentioned so far are excellent, no 'wrong' choice among them.

Personally I found them a bit too large for EDC. I found the Delica and Native 'just right'.

Delica 4 for EDC is probably a little more reasonable, but the PM2 and Manix's will do just fine..Can't go wrong with Spydercos quality control, usability and price.

The Manix 2 and Para 2 are both somewhat similar to the Tenacious, and I own and carry all 3 models. I think the Para2 is the best of the bunch for EDC, the Manix 2 probably makes the better work knife.

I would get a Caly 3.5 with G-10 scales.

They are being discontinued and will harder to find soon.

It's a great knife.

My favorite spyderco knives would be the Paramilitary 2, Sage 3, Delica 4, Stretch, tenacious, Cat.

I have owned both the manix 2 and the para2, as most people seem to like the para 2, which is understandable, but I personally like the delica4, I would also like a superblue caly 3

Try the tenacious and resilience.
You should get both. Probably for less than 90$ shipped for them.
