Spyderco blades, HELP

I have owned both the manix 2 and the para2, as most people seem to like the para 2, which is understandable, but I personally like the delica4, I would also like a superblue caly 3

For EDC I second this sentiment! Perfect size for standard pockets IMO.

Agree.

Manix 2 FFG would be my top pick for <$90 spyderco knife that's not a lockback.

The Manix 2 and Para 2 are both somewhat similar to the Tenacious, and I own and carry all 3 models. I think the Para2 is the best of the bunch for EDC, the Manix 2 probably makes the better work knife.

^I've never seen a company as large as Spyderco where the founding principal welcomes people personally. When I worked at blockbuster video when I was 17 years old my store manager was afraid of my regional manager, who was in charge of 10 stores who had a boss who was in charge of 100 stores, who had about 200 bosses above him. Sure Spyderco isn't as large as Viacom, but it sure ain't the Cactus store in Gila Bend. It just shows pride of ownership...something you don't feel until you own a company. OP you won't go wrong with any knife recommended in this thread. Hopefully you've found some help!

I can highly recommend the paramilitary 2 as an EDC ... Of the three you mention it is the most like an extension of my hand ...
You have to see what works best for you but you can't go wrong with any of those three ...

PM2, and just go ahead and get 2 of them because you will order another one anyway.

As someone who was once involved in collecting, drifted away for a number of years before recently returning, two Spyderco knives were what got me hooked back in. As others have noted the Para 2 is US made, exquisite and purposeful as an EDC. The other was the Southard which excels as a flipper and is an excellent EDC. Both knives also made me take the next step - customizing the scales and fiddling a bit (bad boy I know) with the inner workings of the knives.

I have, carry, use and definitely recomend all 3 you mention, Manix 2 (FFG), Manix 2 XL, Para 2.
Definitely look at a Military, and also a Taichung Spyderco, I have the Gayle Bradley, Domino and Sage 1 and the quality of them is absolutely top notch.

Hey guys, I'm new to knife collecting and I recently bought the spyderco tenacious. Great knife, I love it.
I was looking at getting the manix 2 or manix 2 XL and the spyderco paramilitary 2.

Are these great knives. And if there are any other knives that are great for Edc and the prices aren't jacked up way too high please, your insight is appreciated.

The knives you are looking at are really a great choice. The CTS BD1 Manix2 L/W is my most carried edc. :)

My first Spyderco after many years away from them was a Persistence. I EDC'd that knife for a couple months. Served me well in my travels across country and getting settled in my temporary home. It rides in my backpack as a backup these days.

Then a few weeks after arriving at my new place I broke down and bought the more awesome Sage 1. The Sage 1 is "my" perfect suit knife. The 3 inch blade and carbon fiber scales, with the black wire clip make it a great looking and very functional blade to carry when I need a bit more class.

Then just two weeks ago I got me a PM2. Holy Moly, what an awesome knife. This one I carry when I'm not at work. I Love my PM2!!

Get the PM2!!

If You get a chance I would also check out the Native, similar to the tenacious in size and feel if not a little more comfortable (that is in my opinion) and its not gonna be super expensive too!

i don't like the look of the native. but it does have a following. g10 police, any military model, would be my vote.
but...you can't really go wrong with any model. don't be afraid to use it. that what there made for.
