If you make a blade with a thumbhole too small to use, I'm gonna remedy that.

Still learning to identify specific Spydies - which blade is this?

And I agree with tchapman - weird to see the Spyderco logo next to a thumbstud...
 
Is the detent engaged? It looks like that thumb stud is keeping the blade from fully closing.

Yes. It's engaged. The stud touches but the blade is in the same resting position with or without the stud.
