Man, oh man, was it good--too many toys and all the folks manning the booth were on top of their game.
Got to meet Sal, who's a real gentleman, unpretentitious, and graciously took the time to listen closely to what I had to say, even though I was just one of the many that will pass his booth at the show--thanks, I really appreciated that.
I did encourage him to bring back an all steel handled Jess Horn 'cause I think that's a classic.

I don't really know what I would do if I ever met Sal. I think the man is great in regards to the quality of Spyderco products, and the innovation behind the knives, but at the same time, I "hate" him because all of my money is being spent on his products :D

what a dilemma. . .

They probly dont allow cameras at this event. Don't really know, just a guess.

Blade allows cameras but I believe Sal has asked for no pics at his booth in the past due to prototypes on display. I didn't make it by the Spyderco booth today but hope to tomorrow.

I think this is right, though there is a thread (Amsterdam thread?) over at the Spyderco forum that has pics of just about every forthcoming prototype in the works.

I went by and handled some of the forthcoming offerings in H1. Very cool stuff. Can't wait for some of the fixed blade knives to come down the pipeline.

It was great to see Sal and the crew again. I was very interested to see the Devil Jumpmaster proto out, since I've been keeping tabs on it since the
'05 show. I was also very interested to see the CoPilot II.

A black, serrated Dodo was the only knife I got for myself at the show, though D. Hoskins had my "tommyhawk" on display. :)

It is nice to be allowed in with your camera. At the Tulsa show I was turned away and had to hike a half mile back to my car to put the camera back. They don't allow them which I found really funny because there were guys in there with cameras on their cell phones and they didn't stop them from getting in at the door.

There were only a few prtos that were at the Blade show that weren't shown in the A'dam show pics.

Hey John, thanx much for the task force coin. Gail and I really appreciate.

Just a very small gesture of appreciation for all your support of American service members.
