Jake, It's going to be a carbon steel, O-1. It's a great steel, and pretty highly desired by the bushcrafter crowd. It'll rust, but it is definitely a steel that would be considered high performance, though not new, highly alloyed, or made with powder metallurgy.

Still a favorite with custom knifemakers after all these years. Joe

Thanks Mastiff. I knew that it was a carbon steel, but didnt know how well it stood up to say 1095.

Pics of the sheath would be nice. The knife looks real well done from what I see in the catalog. Hopefully the leather will follow the classic theme.

The sheath is leather, but it has a plastic insert.

It's a proto so I'd rather not show it yet. The latest protos and sheath will go to Chris Claycomb (the designert) next week. He can shoot some pics if he wants to.
