I agree that it is very pricey for a mass produced knife made out of O1 and in Taiwan. I didn't know they were made in Taiwan.
I don't make scandis so I'm not trying to sell myself here... There are a few makers/friends in this forum who can make you a one of a kind, one at a time scandi knife for the same price or lower than that Spyderco. I'm not against buying foreign when you have to. However, in this case I would rather buy from a hard working American. It's a good idea to support the "little man" whenever you can and I feel that this is that time.. Just my humble opinion though..
