  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Can't see the video? Malformed ID? Edit* Nevermind, lol.

Looks like a nice knife. Handle looks fat? Comfy to grip?

Vids are blocked for me. Is it yours? How do you like it??

I have one on order and I'd like to hear a report:thumbup::D

Looks like a very well made knife. Sal must have cornered the spalted maple market to produce all of these.

It is very nice, I find the handle perfect for my medium-sized hand.
It may finish my trend away from the bigger blades on expeditions.
Denis

I think it looks super nice, though pricey, considering the cost of a similar bushcraft type blade from one of the makers here. I'd consider it for the introductory sale those guys are having for $190(comparable to Koster or Fiddleback), but probably not for $300.

Looks like the overall blade shape forward of the handle is pretty close to the Ray Mears/Alan Wood Woodlore

Street price should be around $180-$190, if you look around.
Denis

I haven't got mine yet but the price with shipping was right at 170. If it's as good as the one posted earlier I don't consider that too steep.

What does a Koster run these days?? 120? then the sheath is what 40 bucks?
So that's 160?

That's in the ballpark I think. Now the koster has micarta instead of fancy wood and but it has 3v instead of 01. But some people like the 01 better.

I'll be excited to get mine but the delivery date got pushed up to Dec for me.

Fallknivens steel comes out of Asia also IIRC then is finished back home. Excellent blades

I guess I'm talking less about quality of goods manufactured overseas. And more about the fact that as highly priced knife, I'd be more inclined to buying one if it were made in the USA.

I hear you. Be great if Bark River ever produced a full tang scandi, but I may be wrong but seems like I remember Mike Stewart saying he didn't like them so that may be out. Would be cool though.

they arent made in the US? that sucks :(
Especially when its a $15 for a 3 foot long piece of tool steel and likely about the same for the wood then some little Asian chick puts it all together for $4.:jerkit:

Buy from a bladesmith.
