Hello!!

I promised to show some of my knives.

I wish to call your attention to a couple of knives an Endura and a Delica, which I sent to Mr. Antonio Montejano, the foremost “aqua forte” engraver of Spain.

Mr. Montejano lives in Albacete, Spain, the city famous for their "navajas", and he keeps alive the art of "aqua forte" engraving, which he learned from his father, a skilled and well known engraver himself.
Through much investigation and research, and lots of works, Montejano has reached levels never dreamed for the art of aqua forte, which, as you know, is an ancient art, developed hundred and hundred of years ago for decorating arms.

My two Spydercos, are decorated in a traditional and delicate style of decoration, which blends beautifully in this knives in spite of their modern present day look. That was a real challenge for this great artist: to combine the High Tech style of these great knives, with such a lovely Old World artistical design.

I hope you will enjoy these knives, and will be able to take an insight of the work of this gifted artist.
Very cordially,

Finally: This is a Dragonfly also embelished by Montejano, which he keeps in his own colection.
All pictures furnished by Mr. Antonio Montejano.

Wow. Thats about all I can say those are some amazing works of art. Thanks for the pics

Mr. Montejano's art is incredible. in this case I think it flows incredibly well with the design of the spyderco. I love it!

I really don't care for 99.999% of engraving that I've seen. In my humble opinion, plain SS has a wonderfully understated beauty.

With that said, those pieces are absolutely stunning. I especially love the blade on the Dragonfly. Never before have I been interested in purchasing an engraved knife. That Dragonfly is making me think long and hard though...

Extremely beautiful. Thanks for sharing Spydersharp

Can I ask the price?
Also I want to get a couple of knives, possibly spydercos, engraved. I went to a trophy shop and they said they engraving might not be so great and their laser etcher wouldnt do stainless steel.
Any sugesstions on how to get a few simple words put into knives?

Absolutely beautiful. the endura with the lions heads is absolutely stunning. I can't imagine the price tag for that level of craftsmanship

Friends of the forum:

In the first place thanking my friend darling Abel Domenech, for the extra words toward my engravings and works. A pleasure has been to sell off these engravings to the strong water with technique of the century XIX. The process to engraved these Spyderco is slow and complex, for the difficulty of the steels of the piece .Destaca the possibility to engraved the plates ( leaves ) .A they can not engraved burin and for this motive they do not see Spyderco with engravings in plates. It has been a surprise for me messages received to my personal mail and the consent that they have had at forums; For the moment I have received several assignments for collectors.
After the public's acceptance, it's possible that he encourage me to do some work in the Spyderco with another different styles with various techniques, and.

Thanks to my friend Abel , to show the pieces and to all of the friends to take part in this after.

A greeting

Antonio Montejano.( Spain )

Antonio Montejano .

I sincerely thank you so much for all kind words received after my post.

It´s really a pleasure to share my Spydercos, with so many nice knive lovers.
All the honors must go to Antonio Montejano´s artistry.
I also thank him very much, both for his firendship, his master work, and his kind words to me.

Some of you have asked about prices. I think that you shouldn´t be shy to ask the artist himself. Prices are according to the high level of craftmanship, but affordable anyway.

I warmly commend to visit Mr Montejano web site, and discover that he is not only a Master Engraver, but an acomplished knifesmith too, devoted to
the making of high end art knives.

I don´t know if the policies of this Forum allow to post the direction of personal mails and web sites.
If someone could advice me, if it is allowed, I will be most than pleased to share Mr. Montejano´s web site address. You´ll love to visit and view his tasteful art.

Thank you so much again, to all of you for your very kind words.
Sincerely, Abel

 I just see this thread - this is a great work, you must be proud having such beauties!

Looks like blades and handles are mirror polished. Am I right?

Would you be interested in my soul in exchange for the knife/art with the lion's heads on it?

Beautiful.

-Mat

Very beautiful:cool:

I especially dig that Dragonfly, really a piece of art:thumbup:

Those are the nicest Spyderco knives I have ever seen. I too am not thrilled with most types of engraving. Your knives however take the cake. Still the best looking Spyderco knives I have ever seen!
