Spyderco Assist--Get It Before You Need It
Ideally suited for emergency situations, the Spyderco Assist features a retractable glass breaker, emergency whistle and a blunt tip serrated blade that is purposefully designed to cut seat belts in a flash.

This is the Spyderco Assist emergency/rescue lockback knife in safety orange. It measures 8 3/8" (213mm) open, 4 7/8" (124mm) closed. The 3 5/8" (92mm) patented blunt tipped blade is made of VG-10 and is 80% SpyderEdged (serrated) to quickly slice seatbelts and rope. The last inch is fine edged for detailed cutting.
The Cobra hood--the lip around the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole--is for quick blade opening and for leverage when open. The wavy spine/handle pattern allows scissoring rope between the handle and blade. The handle is safety orange finger grooved FRN (glass reinforced nylon) with bi-directional texturing.
A squeeze of the blade into the handle exposes the carbide glass-breaker tip through the small hole in the end of the handle. On the side of the handle is a survival whistle. Comes with left/right handed pocket clip.
