Spyderco Caly 3 riveted handle. Have you had any trouble with it?

You CAN take the Caly apart, or rather, take the blade out. The Caly series does not use washers of any kind so it is a simple thing to disassemble and reassemble the blade/pivot. I always like a knife that I can take apart and clean. The Caly not a knife that you'd be using in the mud, sure, but accidents happen. I dropped my Benchmade 940 in the sand once by accident and it was HELL trying to clean it out. I couldn't take the knife apart since there was so much Loctite on the handel screws I feared I would strip them. But the Caly blade can easily come out and with a little soap/water/compressed-air you can clean out the handel just fine, and put the blade back in easily.

I EDC C83 Persian for seven years. I carried Caly3 and than Caly3.5 for about six years. And I never had a problem with pinned contraction.
