Just got my Chubby today (Christmas), and I am pumped!

Not a lot of informative overviews floating around so I thought I'd give you guys my opinion

First off, the OOB sharpness is the best I've had.

The deep hollow grind cuts like a lightsaber and paired with the toothy edge of S30V, none can do better.

F&F is like any Taichung Spydie, perfect... The g10 backspaceer is SEAMLESS and I can find no fault.

The pocket clip is ok and doesn't interfere with your hand when cutting, but I still would've liked to see a wire clip.

Like the Techno, I classify it as a little/big knife. It's 4.1 oz, not light but I'm used to carrying by Rat 1, K2, and Bad Dog so I don't even know its there.

The action is particularly snappy, which I like, and the bronze phosphor washers ensure a smooth action.

The lock sits at right about 50% and NO stick. This knife is built like a tank!

This is my new favorite EDC and I would recommend this to any collector/user. Burch and Spyderco got it right!

Merry Christmas and God Bless!

"That" model is one the I've been very interested in.
I just can't bring myself to announce that "I've got a Spyderco Chubby." [emoji16][emoji41][emoji86].

Funny, all my relatives ask me if they can see my knife.

They all have the same response, "its fat."

I reply' "its called the chubby."

They just like

Lol.

Nice dude! You're right I haven't seen any reviews of it. Looks sweet though. How's the tip? Does it seem particularly delicate?

Just be careful cutting stuff with it. Spyderco blades frequently break at the Spydie Hole. Slicing paper and buttering toast may be okay, but don't push it by trying to cut through a really tough steak or anything...:D

I have no idea how to upload pics...

I'm new here myself but it appears as though with this forum you would need to join an image hosting site such as photo bucket and copy and paste the url from photo bucket.

Anyway I had a look at your knife on eBay, and it is chubby. Any specific reason they made it so fat other than it just being a bit more unique this way?

Or download Tapatalk app and upload directly

Well its a Michael Burch design and he's known for making some pretty thick and stout knives. Look him up if you want cause his designs really appeal to me. As for the knife, even though its "chubby", it still preforms amazing!

Ah Ok, I just wondered if it for technical or aesthetic reasons. Thanks.
