spyderco clip problems

I stopped carrying Spyderco's for years because I ripped the clips off so many of them. I broke 3-4 of the Endura's with the clip molded onto the handle, I had a Jess Horn (I think?) That didn't last a day and one of the small knives with the web cut into the blade and handle that lasted a week or so. I bent the clip on a military but was able to bend it back. That was the last one I bought before I threw in the towel.

Funny it was a tenacious I impulse bought on amazon that won me back. The smoothness and shape of the new clips really make a difference. Since I started buying Spyderco's again I had the wire clip on a dragonfly last a few days before I destroyed it but the clip on my Caly has been fine for months.

I sure as hell don't expect spyderco to replace anything I broke for free. Benchmade can replace clips because they charge to much in the first place.

I have never broken a pocket clip, but have bent a few. I do not like the wire clips at all, I strongly prefer to Spyderco hourglass clip over any other clip I have.
Also, if I damage a clip to the point it needs to replace I will suck it up and pay the 6 bucks or whatever it is.

Never broken or bent a pocket clip. I carried a Gerber Mini Covert for about a year, and it snagged on EVERYTHING. Never bent, but it would send the knife flying, more often than not. Lol. The clip that comes on the Mini-Grip seems to snag more for me than others. The Spyderco hour glass is my favorite, and I hate the clip on the Kershaw Skyline. So no, no Spyderco clip problems here.

I haven't had any problems with Spyderco clips yet... I personally think the Spyderco hourglass clip is one of the best if not the best pocket clip design out there. That said, I also LOVE the Spyderco wire clip for situations where I'm more likely to brush up against objects that would be scratched/damaged by more aggressive clips. That, and the wire clip doesn't look like a knife clip, it is very inconspicuous.
