I just got a new 204MF Sharpmaker from Mark @ MJS Knives. After watching the demo. I noticed the commercials. These are GREAT! What would it take to get these broadcasted on a regular basis on major TV networks? Is it possible? Any plans? Maybe AKTI could help out, or even make their own TV commercials.

...to much money involved I'd bet, but it would be cool.

I've seen several Spyderco commercials on TV. I don't have the Sharpmaker video, so I don't know if they are the same ones, but I would certainly assume that they are. I haven't seen one for a few months though.

I live in Colorado, so it's possible that the commercials I saw were a local broadcast. They were extremely well done, and appealed to a wide audience, but TV advertising costs butt-loads of money. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll see many AKTI commercials.

This is a true shame as one of these commercials shown during a football game would possibly catapult Spyderco into a greater demand than supply scenario.
They are very well made commercial spots and spotlight the tool aspect of knife use, something that is sorely needed in these days of seemingly rampant knife-phobia.(Thanks a lot, Hollywood)!

People seem to be shifting more and more toward the belief that "if you see it on TV then it must be true".
I think commercials of this type would be great press for the knife in general. People NEED to see folding knives used as they were meant to be used and not as the tool of some serial killer on the big screen disembowelling teenage girls for fun. I think this is why sheeple are looking at knives as the tool of evil people. They go to the movies and this is all they see knives being used for, slash and slaughter.
Besides being great press for Spyderco, these commercials are a much needed reality check for the general public, IMHO, of course.
