Spyderco Crash

It's tough for us regular guys to get through when there are flippers on trunk lines at their jobs using 2 or 3 devices to get through. I tried getting through around 5 minutes before opening and it was already pretty much impossible. I gave up after about 20 or 30 minutes and tried back off and on several times but had no luck. It didn't surprise me or piss me off though. Some are taking it personal it seems. I have bigger worries.
Same with Hinderer, it's nice they do a lottery now hinderer that is but flippers come in when a drop happened and snatch everything up.

Pretty much every popular maker GEC/CRK etc 95% of the time it's good luck on getting anything.

Besides, I already have WAY TOO MANY knives and am not buying any more for the foreseeable future, apart from the fact that I would NEVER buy a "2nd" of any knife, regardless of how much I could save over MSRP, anyway.

I would never fault anybody for not wanting to buy a factory 2nd, as you lose warranty support. It's totally understandable.

But to be fair I have bought many seconds from Spyderco and Asher, and it has never been anything more than a small cosmetic issue. Light scratch on the blade or scuff on the scale etc. Nothing that I won't do to the knife within the first couple days of using it anyways.

And I say this with my pinky up as I drink my coffee this morning.

I would buy a 2nd, have bought a 2nd, love the 2nd's I have and recommend a 2nd.

Saw this on my insta yesterday. Nice to see.

For real, I hate playing that game to the point that I don’t even bother trying to buy certain brands anymore, EXCEPT on the secondary. It is what it is. Not as bad as paying full retail for a knife, and then it’s on sale for $50 less a couple weeks later (Yojumbo) oh well

For clarification, the reason I won't buy a Spyderco 2nd isn't because I think that they are functionally deficient in any way. They are NOT.

The reason I wouldn't buy one is because I only buy Spyderco's for the purpose of collecting them. There are over 380 knives in my collection and over 165 of them are Spydercos.

I own a lot of knives that I use but I never use any knife in my collection.

However, if you're interest is in saving $ in order to buy Spyderco at a lower price in order to use (as opposed to collect), then there's no reason not to buy a Spyderco 2nd (direct from Spyderco, if you can manage it) or in the 2ndary market (where they come up from time to time).
