After many years of owning Spyderco blades and never needing to return a single thing, I had 3 instances of dealing with their CS department in the last year. All were resolved fast and to my satisfaction. All communications were prompt and polite. On the last bullet item, IMO they went above and beyond what I was expecting. I had no straightforward way or tool to extract that broken off screw and was worried about damaging a $200 new knife, I assumed they would charge me for the extraction, but they just resolved it.

Good on Spyderco, thanks for your great CS!

  • Requested longer clip screws for mounting clip for lefthand carry. They sent the screws.
  • Returned a Native 5 which had always been slightly out of spec and would not open smoothly. They resolved.
  • Returned a new Domino which *I* made a user error and stripped the head off a clip screw, leaving the shaft below the surface of the hole. First time I've ever done that on a knife, and I assumed that because of user error, they'd charge me to extract it. Didn't happen! They fixed it perfectly and fast, sent it back working perfectly, all I was out was about $10 total for shipping.
