Spyderco CTS-20CP problems

bb is selling them for almost $40 more than the highest auction sold for ..i know 185 on the bay is reasonable for it but i already have a M390 on order and i got a s30v for less than retail.. maybe ill pick one up at xmas time.. well see by then ill probably have moved on to my next knife obsession like most of us ;)
bye then hopefully there is the next great knife for pre order with this awesome steel in it for you to try

between the semi sarcastic comment and pics of babies crying after my posts you seem to be taking something personal here... if theres something in my thread you dont like .. no one is making you read it..i appreciate you attempting to help (i think?)with the suggestion but spending 40-50 bucks over what its going for is a waste of money.

just to clarify in my original post i didnt mean one particular person was buying up the knives to get at me personally (that would be a little crazy) i only meant someone might have read these forums and seen a renewed interest in that particular knife and saw an opportunity to buy them and repost and make money... but anyways that point is moot now...

i want to thank all of the other helpful members taking time to post :) i appreciate the help and suggestions all in all i ended up with a blue para 2 m390 preordered , a dmt aligner deluxe ,a para 2 s30v and maybe a cts-20cp in the future either way im happy :)

...could be worse, you could be trying to win an auction for an S90V Military. Prices on those have gotten literally insane. :(

oh i bid on a few... but i dont need carbon fiber that badly and at those prices it would go from a knife that i actually use to a knife that sits in a drawer...

I'm going through the same thing, except I'm trying to grab a Case/Bose Muskrat.
Everytime one pops up, I enter the max I am willing to pay. ($215.00) Which is reasonable.

The problem with eBay is, you have these types of people that just insist on "winning", much like Charlie Sheen.
They are entering bids of $300+ on a knife that usually sells for around $200-$250. They just have to win.

Your only consolation is knowing that they are over-paying and screwing themselves. Just stick to your guns and eventually you'll get one at the price you want.

you are 100% correct.. theres no need to overpay just to 1up a stranger on ebay nor is it necessary to pay 40-50% more than retail for something from a retailer just because they choose to overprice.. ill either get it .. or life will go on ..i have no compulsions to buy something at any cost.. pretty sure my wife and son might have something to say to me if i acted that carelessly with money :)

I just bought one for 180$ on the bay yesterday, not an auction but "buy it now". Have a look again, and I'm sure you'll find a good offer again.
But the M390 will be nice too I guess.

best buy it nows are 200 + but i alreadt spent money on a s30v and a sharpener as well as a preorder for a m390... im set for now unless i find a good deal pretty content actually

problem solved...:)

I got one! guy tried to snipe it from me but i sat there till 20secs left and won cheaper than all the others i lost :)

This morning they were in stock and going for $170 with free shipping at the place that rhymes with now. And no auction bs required.

There are some available at at least one online retailer. Rhymes with now.

I'm totally drawing a blank here, what place rhymes with "now"?
It's probably very simple, but I'm clueless today. Any better clues?

Now you will see why have been telling you that you need one. Awesome awesome steel. I feel bad for your s30 one as it wont see any pocket time :D.
