the competition out of the water. Thought that may catch some people's attention.

I contacted CS a week ago or so requesting a new set of pivot screws for my para military since they were somewhat stripped. Bought the knife used and came that way, but wasn't a biggie since there was still some life in them.

In any case, I had the pleasure of dealing with Charlynn. Was great to deal with and I just got my new set of screws along a catalog and ad for the baliyo (which seems really cool). CS is still top notch. Thank you.

I have 17 Spydies and only had to deal with there CS one time. They were first class. Great company with great products.

that caught my attention. I'm happy to say that I have never had to call/send anything to Customer Service at Spyderco but it's nice to know that if I did their service it top notch

I wouldn't know anything about their customer service because none of their knives have failed so far.

You wouldn't still have that number for CS, would you? The only ones I can find on their site are for (I'm guessing) corporate Headquarters and the SFO.

I just got a Rescue on the bay that's missing the clip and bolt and I need to talk to them about getting replacements.

I came here armed with a couple of choice words about their CS, but after reading the op, I realize they aren't needed. :D

Their customer service is top notch. Best way to describe it.

Customer service was great for me when I sent in my Superhawk for a stripped clip screw recently. I had already had the edge thinned out to make the hawkbill easier to sharpen on my Sharpmaker at 15 per side, but I asked if they could sharpen it even thinner (I added the disclaimer about understanding the risk of chipping at thin angles). Sure enough I got it back with a new clip screw and the edge very acute. There was a hand written note about how the sharpener took it as thin as he could, which is perfect. It is maybe 8 degrees per side, perfect for 15 per side microbevels and exactly what I backbevel my regular pocket knives to. On a hawkbill using my benchstones was out of the question, so first Richard J then Spyderco really helped me out by taking the edge more acute and hair popping sharp to boot. Thanks again to Spyderco for listening and serving the customer.

800/525-7770 x 255, we're all under the same roof. ;)

Spyderco's customer service is lame, why even though I have never had to send any of mine in for service, they have not ONCE called to ask if I need anything!!!!!

For a second I was like what is going on now? Phoning customers to see if they broke anything yet. I guess they could start calling to offer an extended warranty lol.

Thanx Kristi. I was just trying to make sure I wasn't bothering the wrong people, that's all.

I can't say that they're any good. I've never had to deal with them.

And while that may not say anything about their Customer Service, it says a lot about their knives.
