I got a brand new spyderco Yojimbo 2 yesterday from a dealer, well as soon as I got the knife I was going to switch it to left hand carry, , My tanto SMF is riding on the right side right now, So i take the clip off and go to put it on the left side tip down , and the screws wont go in the handle, so I try tip up, same issue, So i go back to the right side, same issue the screws wont go into the holes, and the clip is kind of bent so it's not even touching the g10. So I went to bend it back a little and snap,the clip breaks in two. Edit(the screws fit in the holes, the just won't tighten down, (This is my second yo2 to have this same problem)
So I call spyderco as soon as it broke, Tell them the situation and offer the tracking number of the knife to show that I literally just got the knife 5 minutes ago, the man on the phone said there was no need and that he was going to send me a few more clips and screws, and sounded really concerned, He said 4-5 times , hey if these don't work send the knife in you may have a bigger problem, aand he kept apologizing, I told him it wasn't a big deal, and if the clips didn't work I would send the knife in.
I just thought I would post this as I've seen some negative threads on Spydercos Customer Service,(I even started one in the past), but it looks like they have really stepped up even more now, and are willing to go above and beyond to help out the customer. On a side not when i first took the clip off I noticed that they screwed off with minimal effort so I dunno If the screws were just sitting in the clip and not tightened down or what, Either way they said they would take care of me, So Kudos to them. I'll report back when i get the new clips and screws.
