Getting some play money and need help deciding. I don't want to spend over 130. Looking at A)Delica & Sharpmaker ($58+64) or a Military ($117-130). Any other ideas?

I think spyderco may have changed their warranty policy lately, so you might want to check it out first.

How about the new Gayle Bradley. It is a collaboration knife between Spyderco and Gayle Bradley.

My Fav's and all in or under your price range:

Police 3 G-10 plain edge.

Military w/o the top swedge (get full flat grind plain edge).

Paramilitary plain edge.

Endura 4 G-10 plain edge.

Spydercos rock!

Spyderco Military.

What is Spyderco's warranty policy now?

Because of current pricing at around $70, I suggest the Endura 4 w/G-10 handle. The VG-10 blade is 3 13/16" and full flat ground.

It is only 1/4" inch shorter, and slightly thinner than the Millie. At a little more than half the price of the Millie, it is a good deal. If you don't mind backlocks as opposed to liner locks, I'd suggest the Endura 4.

I have one and am very pleased with it.

+1 On that but mine was when it was 1st released - I paid about $85

They look like a Police 3 G-10 exactly and are almost as long as the Military plus you get tip-up carry, unlike the Military which I think is a big consideration.

The OP did mention a Delica, so the lockback G-10 Endura should be worth a look. Especially at that price-point, otherwise i would also suggest looking into the Gayle Bradley which has a thicker than thick liner lock (~$130).

I agree!

All these are great options, i might add the manix 2:thumbup:

Looking at A) Delica & Sharpmaker ($58+64)

By noting this combo first, Sigmund Freud here thinks you want this the most. So thats what you should go for. Do the Military, etc., sometime down the road.

And you can get a sweet Delica 4 cheaper than that on ebay.

I would say a new sharpmaker(under $50 shipped on the bay) and A new tenacious and A used delica. My fav is the Endura4 I got both mine used but like new under $45 each I can`t wait to get a flat ground with frn scales.Just remember shop around and ask others questions about retailers they have used.

Go with delica (or endura) and sharpmaker. You'll love having the sharpmaker. And you can't go wrong with one of Spyderco's staple knives.

You can also post a thread in the "wanted to buy" section of the forum and pick up a good deal and help out a member who is selling a model for a good price, including a sharpener. :)

The G10 Endura at the discount price and the sharpmaker would be the way to go. I got my Endura a few weeks ago and it's an awesome knife so grab it while you can. I hope the good prices are still out there.

If I can get a G10 Delica in the same price range, I'll be even happier but I haven't seen any discounts on the Delica.

Cheapest I can find the Endura 4 G-10 is $92 plus shipping and that was 2 places. The rest are in the mid $120's or above.

yeah my vote goes for the G10 Endura 4. I have one, and I think it's a great knife. in that price range, Spyderco is hard to beat, and the Endura is a classic design.

by the way, does anyone know more about this new warranty for Spyderco?

one of these for $105
