Spyderco decisions...

Cheapest I can find the Endura 4 G-10 is $92 plus shipping and that was 2 places. The rest are in the mid $120's or above.

I sent you an email. Take a look before choosing a different knife.

What....is.....that..... i like.Oh, and i have a sharp maker already (7 years old or so) but i dropped 2 stones on the ground.... yeah:-\. I dropped a brown one 6 years ago and a white one a few weeks ago.

Manix 2 FFG S30V with blue G10 sprint is open for preorders. Worth a shot if you like beefy knives.

that's a caly 3 with the carbon fiber scales and zdp blade

i am carrying my caly 3 (black g10) w/ vg-10 blade

love this shape and size

Ask this in the Spyderco sub for a great answer?

Nah that'd be too logical, I mean who posts spyderco questions in the spyderco sub, besides I'm sure there's going to be an identical thread there later. On the plus side he is getting the answers he was looking for, so I guess the location of it worked.

I've heard of some guys who, when they break one, they'll take about a 4 inch piece or so of it and put it in with their hiking gear, so they can have a decent sharpener out in the field.

Endura 4 G-10 plain edge.

Because of current pricing at around $70, I suggest the Endura 4 w/G-10 handle. The VG-10 blade is 3 13/16" and full flat ground.

It is only 1/4" inch shorter, and slightly thinner than the Millie. At a little more than half the price of the Millie, it is a good deal. If you don't mind backlocks as opposed to liner locks, I'd suggest the Endura 4.

I have one and am very pleased with it.

Yes! +1

I love mine...

I like the endura G-10 and the caly3 cf. I didnt necessarily want a spyderco, hwpaintballer, which is why i posted here. I know where the spydie forum is. I am just leaning more towards it. I will be ordering online and was open to other suggestions. I really want the caly3. Is zdp189 better than s30v? How bout that endura? I found a caly3 cf for 117 shipped.

You should really check out the Native 4 in Carbon Fiber...it is excellent, tight tolerances and fantastic ergos. It's also very very thin. 10/10 in my books.

Getting some play money and need help deciding. I don't want to spend over 130. Looking at A)Delica & Sharpmaker ($58+64) or a Military ($117-130).

HMMM???

Anyway you have got to be kidding right? - A carbon fiber Caly 3 for $117 over the Endura 4 G-10 at $70. I feel the room beginning to spin again. I better lay down on the sofa and try to forget this thread.

Just trying out options. I think i'm going to go for the caly3 cf. The reason i labeled it spyderco decisions was because of the 3 items i was thinking about to begin with. Should have been more specific, but i wanted to wrap it up quick until i could get to a comp. was posting from my ipod touch on crappy inet. Anyway, anyone have any other ideas for <$130 and not necessarily a spyderco. I just want a great user with some good steel in a nice package. I like the caly3 cf, delica ss, military and para, endura g-10. I have a benchmade grippy already and have my kershaws.

I dont think its that hard to believe, those two knives are nothing alike. The endura is more knife for less $ but you get the frosted coated high end stuff with the caly. But man that Endura is one of the nicest spydies Ive carried in the last year, for $70, you cant go wrong.

What about a sage (im new to spyderco if you didnt notice). is the cf sage in s30v better than the caly3 in cf? I'm not picky about locks ill use anything. Lockback is fun to play with but i can shut a liner faster. Again, don't care about lock. I'm kind of onto the carbon fiber trend now that i saw it.

Did you see my post about the Native 4 in CF? Up a few posts #32 check it out! You won't regret that one.

the Sage is a nice knife, looks similar to the caly but its mos def not the same knife. Its a bit heftier, thicker, maybe a caly on roids?, it has a more mainstream, but very loved S30V steel, very very nice fit and finish, and it was made in Tawaiin whereas the Caly was made in Japan. Personally, I cant stand my knife to say Tawain on it, it does the same thing as a knife made in Japan or USA, I just cant do it. Another thing the caly has goin for it imo is the lock, Im a big fan of the back lock. The Caly will be a much more sought after knife once they discontinue. Once all the E-dealers sell out of them (caly) they will bring over $200 on the 2ndary market. One thing I think I like about the sage more than the caly is the CF pattern/texture, really nice carbon fiber on that one, actually some of the nicest Ive seen on a spydie.

Sage is one of my favorite Spydies and happens to be my primary EDC. The G10 Endura is great but a little big for my daily needs. As Deric said, the textured weave on the CF is the best combination of look and feel on a knife. Although the Sage and Caly3 look similar, they feel different in hand. The Caly3 is like a 2 seater sports car, agile and quick, while the Sage is like a 4 door sports sedan, more substantial and utility oriented.

Too many choices for you? ;) Both the Endura and Sage were on sale recently and you may be able to find really good deals on both. I picked up 2 additional Sage 1's for a backup and as a gift.
