I recently purchased a Spyderco Delica 4 (FRN FG Plain Edge) and wanted to swap out the stock clip for something that carried deeper in the pocket. I have come across another similar post here (I cannot find it now or I would include a reference) but wanted to share my experience.
I purchased this STEALTH clip from USA Knife Maker for about $9.50 shipped: http://usaknifemaker.com/ti-pocket-clip-formed-tumbled-040-low-rider-stealth.html. By default, the holes on the clip do not line up with the mounting holes on the Delica 4. The other poster mentioned using a diamond file - I went another route and used a 1/16" Cobalt drill bit. It took about 15 minutes, but ultimately I was able to extend the holes enough towards the center enough that they lined up.
Below are some pics:
As for the knife itself, I really like it so far. My last EDC was a Flash SOG 1 - while I did enjoy that for a while, the Delica 4 is a huge step up. The SOG Flash 1 has a great blade and I love the assisted open, but it is just too small and feels awkward to hold. Other drawbacks are that with a moderate amount of pressure you can force the blade closed, and there is a good amount of play in the blade both side to side and up and down. Overall it feels like a toy compared to the Delica 4, which has zero play in the blade when opened, and the lock feels very strong and secure.
I also really like the blade shape of the Delica 4, as well as the thumb choil and jimping. Those features along with the size, shape and material of the handle really let you get a firm and comfortable grip. It is also very thin and very light, which are great qualities for EDC. I kinda wish that the handle was a little shorter which would make it even better for EDC, however, I will say that the 4.25" handle does feel great when holding the knife. The fact that it is so thin and so light really make it feel invisible in the pocket.
The VG-10 is also razor sharp out of the box, so much so that I've already sliced my finger pretty nicely while being careless... I have not really put the knife to work yet, but I am confident that it will hold up to everyday use. The only slight imperfection is that the blade does not sit perfectly centered between the scales when closed, but for me that is not a huge concern. Overall it feels very solid and well made.
