Spyderco Delica--always play in blade...

all the FRN spydercos i've had have had up and down and side to side play, not really a huge amount but a noticeable amount. I think it's just a part of the design, the FRN moels are made to a budget as general use knives and so that sort of play is acceptable

I have owned four FRN Spydercos, 2 each Delicas and Enduras, in both pre (2?) and 4 versions None showed the slightest play. This may be a matter of manufacturing tolerances and individual luck. Frankly, I wouldn't have been upset at a little bit of wiggle, anyway.
