Spyderco Delica and Endura FFG Colors

I swapped a black saber with the gray ffg, basically just swapped the frn scales. Just swap the scales, don't change lockbars or anything. Works just fine and I sold the gray one for what I bought it for.

That's the way to go. If you start swapping metal parts, then your lockup is going to be slightly different... If you just change the plastic and keep all the metal together, then it'll be the same as before.

Someone I bought a Delica off of didn't do that, and the lockup was a bit weird, but it has broken in. That and the wrinkled/bent washers :thumbdn:

That's what I was worried about  I just want to swap scales, ideally.

Excellent, exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks SMI

Not a problem, I learned that the hard way. Like THG said, just swap the plastic parts. I also bought a knife that was blade swapped and that thing had some enormous blade play because the pieces didn't fit correctly.

In addition to orange, I would like to see a VG-10 delica with toxic green scales.

M.

I carry a delica and endura both ffg with me at pretty much all times. I would definitely rock an orange delica with a toxic green endura... or visa versa. That would be very cool.

I have been wanting the FFG Delicas for a long time. I almost pulled the trigger on a G10 one but the price put me off. Those colors to me suck. If they had blaze orange or toxic green I would get one but the pastels.:barf: I also don't want to buy two and swap scales. Why is Sal married to those awful colors? Don't they realize that they would sell many more if FFG came in black? It kind of amazes me.

Hi Mmarkh,

I imagine colors will change as our customers tell us what they like and don't like. At this time it's too early to tell. I guess that you like bright colors ;)

You got it Sal.:) Those I mentioned and black. The bright colors are for when out in the field. They are easy to find if dropped. I would never carry a camo knife in the woods. Thanks for the response.

The colors are nice, but it would be nice to have a choice between them and the "regular" black. I, myself, would choose the colored ones every time :D
