Spyderco Delica or Endura FFG?

I'm pretty stuck between these two, but this will be my last knife bought for a while... (I said that last time lol :D) Anywho, the main problem is that I can find both for almost the exact same price... Endura being a few dollars less, surprisingly. The thing that has me stumped is whether I should buy the Endura, because it's simply more knife for the same price and it look nice. However, I LOVE the Delica blade, but it seems rather small. It will be used for an EDC with a full flat ground blade. I tend to carry bigger knives for EDC which is why I'm leaning towards the Endura, but that Delica design is darn sexy lol. Which would you guys recommend under these circumstances? I was also thinking about getting the Tenacious, but I wanted to try the VG-10 steel. Thanks!

they are exactly the same but one is bigger (the endura) and one is smaller (the delica). so bigger or smaller your pick. both in the metal look the same, except the size. pictures are harder to tell by. i like bigger and the endura is one of the best.

There's only one way to settle this! Buy both! :D

Seriously, though if you can only get one of the two, you should get the Endura, since you said you like a larger blade. And since they're the same price, personally I'd get the Endura too. More steel, same price? That's all I needed to know.

Do you mean both of the ones you're looking at are FFG? Because if not, get the one that is FFG. I went with the Delica because the blade is half a millimeter thinner, so it slices exceedingly well. The blade is small, but it's big enough for pretty much everything you'd need, and it feels normal sized because the handle is full sized. It's up to you, though.

I have carried the Endura since 1998 and I generally don't care for big folders. The Endura is light enough to be carried well though. I bought the Delica for my brother, as he needed a work knife with a shorter blade due to company restrictions on blade length. It became his favorite knife. They'll both get the job done.

How about a Stretch? It is the best of the Delica and the Endura IMO.

It is the perfect size not too big or too small.
I grabbed one off of ebay for $46 + shipping. That's about what the other 2 sell for.

i only own the delica 4 ffg but if you like edcing bigger knives i would tell you to go with the endura.
plus, it's cheaper;)

presz, thanks for the suggestion, but for some reason, that blade is just so unappealing to me :(

i have both. the delica seemed to fall out of my pocket often when bumped, but the endura stayed in. the endura was a bit big for me though. both are in the knives i never carry group now.

Thank you guys, I'll probably end up going with the small fry first, then a few months from now buy it's beefed up brother lol. Am I missing any other Spyderco's that are really good around this price range with good steel? This'll be my first

My brother lost his Delica, twice, and did not find it the second time. My Endura stays put.

Even though it's a Chinese made knife, the Tenacious is a GREAT knife for the money. Gave it to a friend of mine to use at work, hes the kind of guy who'd been using a box cutter at work for years, didn't have any interest in knives. He says he uses the Tenacious every day and loves it, and is now looking at getting a more expensive Spyderco. But all in all, the Tenacious is a hell of a value and if you haven't tried one you should. I think they can be had for ~$30. Maybe pick one up along with a Delica or Endura?

I'll get the Tenacious eventually, but I hear these Delicas and Enduras are staples with Spyderco, so it might make me a spydie guy, heh :D

There's no doubt they're popular Spyderco models, but I feel the Tenacious is more so where Spyderco is going with their knives. Flat slabs of G10, thick liner lock, FFG blade.

Yeah I hear you, it seems like it's becoming a new trend with the G10 material

Good choice. I'd say go with the Delica 4 ffg and then try a Byrd Cara Cara 2 to see if the Endura size would work for you or not. Byrd Cara Cara 2 ffg can be had for around $20-$25--for the money, the Byrd is a great knife.

Have you considered the centofante 3? The slim profile makes for a really nice edc blade
