Spyderco Delica or Endura FFG?

I avoid those knives (I know they are great tools and all that) because of the FRN handles <<-- I can't stand this. I love all the other Spydies with G10 or CF though.

Thank you guys, I'll probably end up going with the small fry first, then a few months from now buy it's beefed up brother lol. Am I missing any other Spyderco's that are really good around this price range with good steel? This'll be my first

Take a look at the Salt series. You could get something like a Tasman, which has no competition in the knife market. The Salt series uses H1 steel, which won't rust, but costs around the same as the Delica. I'd recommend you get a serrated edge, though, since the edge retention for that steel on the plain edges isn't that impressive.

The Tenacious is a great knife for the price, but honestly I don't think it's as good for a growing collection. You'll probably end up getting the knives the Tenacious is trying so hard to be later down the road, whereas the Delica 4 FFG is a knife that does what it's meant to do without any pretensions. There are plenty of nicer G-10 handled liner locks out there, but it's hard to beat the Delica for an unobtrusive, light, champion slicer that's pure function.

Terrific knife, hands down. I however prefer the endura 4 ffg due to its bigger size. But for anybody looking for a excellent, durable, and reliable knife, look no farther. The vg10 blade steel is solid, maintains a great edge and is quick to sharpen. Really light and portable. $55 might be too pricey for some, but it is worth every penny. With blades you get what you pay for typically. Specifically blade steel.

Can't go wrong with either! Since you stated you like bigger blades I'd get the Endura first, that is what I did and no regrets.

Look at the manix 2 in s30v steel. I had to mention this even though i carry my endura much more.

For size, I like the Delica. I also really like the Stretch. FFG slices nice. If you are going to do anything silly with the knife, the regular grind may be a better choice. The FFG blade may be too easy to break.
