Spyderco Delica or Native???

As have been said, you need to handle both. Aesthetically, I don't find the Delica very attractive (tho, I don't find most Spydies very attractive, take a few like the Native, ATR, Viele, and a few others). The Delica, like many spydies, are wider than knives of similar size due to the hole. My thumb slipped on the Delica hole before. The Native is less wide and fits better in my pockets for me. I also find it more attractive and a nicer design. The Native has a longer blade and shorter handle, something I prefer (I like to have the most blade for the amount of handle/closed length I can get so I can get more blade for pocket real estate). I used the Delica for some tasks that I found I needed just a tad bit more of blade length and cutting edge. The Delica is not a bad knife...in fact, it's one of the best knives for the price, but it doesn't meet as many of my requirements as other knives, including the Native, does.

My wife adopted my Native. It's my favorite Spyderco - fits well, sharp, holds the edge, but I was only occaisionally carrying it anyway. I like the Delica, but I don't own one.

I really like both of them, however I do find myself using the delica much more because it is slimmer to carry.
