It's a collaboration, so Serge needs to be paid. With a s30v blade, I'm not seeing that the price is off at all, and at 70 bucks it's a good value.

if you like the piece that much, price tend to play a very little part in the equation.

i too think that the value is actually alright compared to those made by Serge himself and thats if he has it in stock.

Perhaps if the black version is out, it will be more applicable for majority user. The colour are reason why many of my friend hesitated in getting it.

It was catch-and-release for me. I wanted one as a small, non-threatening blade in a great steel, but there was no way to hold it to prevent letting it close on my hand, and the closed detent was too weak for me to feel safe using it. In short, the ergos were off for me. Some people love it, but I wasn't some people. I hope your mileage varies.

Does this come with some sort of lanyard? It seems I heard or read that somewhere.

No lanyard and no clip. Just a hole to attach to a lanyard or ball chain or keychain.

I received the Black Dog Tag yesterday and it's wonderful. Already on the keychain.
