Ok guys, since I've decided to shift my collecting interests in other directions, these Dyads need new homes. First, the particulars. I would prefer to be paid by PayPal. Prices include USPS priority shipping with delivery confirmation. I'll sell to folks from anywhere, as long as they have a US address I can ship to and can pay in US dollars. Feel free to email or PM with questions and I'm open to reasonable offers. A solid "I'll take it" in the thread gets preference over a lengthy email dickering session. Thanks for looking and on to the knives!

1. Micro Dyad in stag, C112P&S. LNIB. Never carried or sharpened, just taken out and admired every once in awhile. $75. Let's go for $70. Now $65. SOLD!

2. Big Dyad C44P&S. This is the big boy, manufactured 09/25/00. Black micarta scales. This knife has been carried, used, sharpened, and loved. I stripped the paint off the clip. Plain edge blade needs a touch up. Serrated blade has some dings in the serrations that I never noticed until examining it before this listing. Comes with original box. Awesome user with years of life left in it. $150. How about $140? Now $130.

3. Black Dyad Jr. C39P&SBK. No box. Never used, carried, or sharpened by me. Faint scratches on PE blade makes me think previous owner used it lightly. $80. Now $75. Now $70.

4. "Green" Dyad JR. C39P&SGR. NIB. Not to be confused with the newer VG-10 green sprint run. Only about 600 of this model made back in 2000. $100. SOLD!

5. Burgundy Dyad Jr. C39P&SBRG. NIB. Only 600 made in this color back in 2000. You just do not see these up for sale. $100. SOLD!

6. Green Dyad Jr. C39P&SBG. Sprint run with VG-10 steel. NIB. $85. SOLD!

Somebody make me an offer on the C44!

CombatGrappler,

What a lucky day for us borht! I am interested in the C44, if it is still available.

I would much appreciate a few more details, if possible:

1) "stripped the paint on the clip"?
2) a closer pic or more detailed description of the damage to either/both blades? I have many a sharpening tool (of virtually EVERY kind), and if I believe I can "clean up" both blades, I would like to make an offer ASAP.
3) A couple of standard measurements - blade length(s) and closed overall length?

Highly interested and PayPal account at the ready. Please let me know!

Thank you,
Annabell

1. Stripped paint. When I first got the knife, the clip was painted black with REALLY shoddy paint that Spyderco used to use. The first time I lubed the pivots, some of the lube got on the clip and pretty much dissolved the paint. No wonder Spyderco quit using that stuff! So I went ahead and used a scotch pad and some nail polish remover to take off the rest of the paint. So the clip has marks from the scotch pad and some marks from the few times I carried it to work, etc.

2. The plain edge blade really just needs to be sharpened. On the serrated blade, none of the teeth are chipped or broken. Three of the big scallops have a little bit of damage that should sharpen right out. The only camera I have is on my 3 year old iPhone, so I can't really get better pics. I don't even know if you could call it damage, more like the edge rolled a bit and needs to be straightened out. I've never cut anything crazy with the knife, so I'm not sure what happened.

3. Plain blade, measured from tip to right where the blade meets the handle is approx. 3 3/8 inches.
Serrated blade, measured same way = 3 3/4 inches.
Closed length is about 4.5 inches.

For what it's worth, the knife comes in the properly marked original box, which is in pretty good shape. It also has the two original papers with it. One describes the Spyderco warranty, the other tells about the bypass lock used on the Dyad series.

Closing up shop on this thread.

I think I will send the Daddy Dyad to the Spydie spa for a sharpening and then let it kick the Paramilitary out of my pocket for awhile.
