Not sure if I am the only one but I love Dyad's. They have to be my favorite Spyderco's. I actually sold my first Spyderco. It was a micro dyad in black Pearl. I regretted it as soon as I dropped it off at the post office. I contacted the buyer a month later and I was able to buy it back. I now added a gray large dyad to my collection. Now I need to find a JR but they are hard to find. Does anyone love these as much as me ? And If anyone has a lead on a jr I would appreciate if you could let me know. Cheers.

It's actually not that bad. They paid attention to ergos on the gray sprint run. There's just a quality to them that I can't explain. I'm very happy I was able to buy my micro dyad again. It's in excellent condition.
 
I was first in line for the sprint and I see it every time I open the Spyderpac but for some reason I never put it in my pocket.
One of these days I'll grab it, not like it's going anywhere.
 
They go quickly. Hopefully I can find one. Good thing about the ones I have they are vg10
 
I have a gray Jr and I love it as much as I love my jigged bone Micro. I even found a full sized Byrd Dyad though that's not the real name for it. The Byrd model is a Wings. I find it bulky. The Jr is the way to go, I think.
 
The only VG-10 Junior I'm aware of was the light blue Sprint run. The originals came in several colors, but all the ones I've seen were ATS-55.

 
Yes, those are some of mine. The top is the Micarta C39 in ATS-55, the middle is a black FRN C39 Lightweight in ATS-55 and the bottom is my daily carry user C44 in Micarta and ATS-55. I loved the top one, but stopped carrying the Micarta version after I lost the one in the picture and the one I replaced it with. I still have one in Micarta, the other two in the picture, a jigged bone MicroDyad, one of the blue FRN Sprint run C39 Lightweights in VG-10 and a couple of back up C44s.

Do the lightweight ones with frn have the same back spine or its all frn ?

Also are the mini and jr different in sizes ? I see both names used.
 
Arrgh, this thread just prompted me to purchase a 2013 sprint Dyad. There are still some for sale from an authorized dealer. I'm such a sucker for Spyderco designs.
 
It's a great knife. Is it ever hard to find a mini or jr. I had that problem finding my Microtech option II.
 
Scored 3 jr. One black frn, one micarta and the sprint run vg-10. I'll probably sell the black frn.
 
I picked up a grey sprint a while back and like it very much. It is perfect for boating as it covers a wide range of uses.
Its not the ideal knife to whittle with for hours but perfectly fine for average use.
