Spyderco EDC knife

I would add another $20 and go with a Para 2, Caly 3.5, or the Native 5.

In the $80 range, I would pick the Stretch 2 FRN, the G-10 Dragonfly, the older gen one, or go with a classic FFG Delica.

I'd say the Chaparral (if you're willing to go about $100) and it is one of the best EDCs I've got. Some other options are the Urban, Dragonfly G-10, or a Delica.

Any of those is a great knife. You really can't go wrong.

For a nice lightweight slicer, get one of the FFG Delicas or Enduras. Lightweight, reasonably priced, excellent VG-10 steel, public-friendly colors, four-way clip and lefty-friendly.

If you're looking for something beefier, get a Manix 2. Thick and solid, with a smooth action and strong lock, 154CM steel. You can find it for just over $80 or so online.

It seems as if the Yojimbo 2 is a good choice, because I can use it for EDC, and self defense.

You can get Stretch in SE or CE for $63.95 at NewGraham.com.

In any case, I don't understand shopping by price rather than requirements. Sometimes price differences are due to nothing but different steel options--which as I've seen may involve paying a bundle extra for a steel (or pseudo-steel) option you don't even want.

+1

I'd get the Caly 3.5. Thin profile, wire clip, light weight, G10 scales and full flat grind make it a very nice step up from the Delica.

My EDC is an Endura3 which they don't make anymore, but you can get almost the same thing in a Pacific Salt with an H1 blade. The all black version is slick. Second choice Sage or Para2 depending how small you want to go.
