Hello all. Well I pulled the trigger and it hurt a little lol. I thought I was going to walk into the store and get the Delica. I mean the thing seemed to be the perfect size. Though when I took out my EDC, a Gerber Riptop I, I noticed the blades to be nearly equal in length. 2.3" vs 2.875" There is a difference, though not huge. The handle was much larger on the Delica though. Why carry something, while much sharper, still having nearly the same blade length and bigger handle? So the Endura was the best bet it seemed.
Birthing
There it was, the display case packaging thingy. Simple paper box you see on these forums a lot, HELL NO! This was grade A open knife display case packaging. In any case, the second I touched the knife I thought "Oh God plastic." Then I felt the weight of the knife and opened and closed it. Things quickly got better.
Build
I had my fears on the actual feel of the knife, but my fears quickly left. For the most part anyway, the handles are still plastic. Alright, not plastic but FRN, though close enough for me. Though the knife does feel really sturdy with very little blade play, be it open/closed. The liners reassure me of the strength. Overall, build seems very good.
Das BLADE!
Well then, this thing is sharp and me likes it a lot. When I opened the packaging and held the knife, I looked at the blade. Then I looked at my hand and proceeded to take some hair off. Shaving sharp out of the package it is! I LOVE it.
Lock/Clip
This is my first lock back. I like it a lot too. Not easily engage/disengagable, is that a word? The clip s sturdy and seems to be good and like the fact it is nicely shaped. Not that I truly care that much, but to me it shows thought behind every aspect of the knife.
Finale
So I bought a knife that I thought I wouldn't buy because the size and cost. Turns out it seemed to be the one for me. I think I am truly a Spydie addict now. To me, Spyderco is a great company. They make great knives that stand out from the rest, are very sharp and there are a lot to choose from. Add to the USA thing and you are all set lol. All in all I spent more than I wanted to really spend and got a lot more than I though I would have. Mad props to Spyderco for making awesome knives and shame on all of you Spydie nuts out there with your fancy pictures and amazing collections convincing me day after to day to BUY BUY BUY! Will post some pics this weekend.
