Spyderco Endura ss and dremel

I am kind of sorry to hijack this thread, but I don't want to open a new one just for a single question, so: Anybody has a picture of dremel-waved Voyager, like the one mentioned by the kicked-out-countless-times ex-member? I always thought that making something like a Southern Comfort out of Voyager would compromise the strengh of it's blade a lot and look ugly on top of that, but I would like to know how small notch it needs need to open reliably. I don't like these "Surf's up" attachments, when I am cutting an apple or something, juices dry under the attachment and it is pretty bad for an utility knife in general.

Thanks.

Oh, and hello all!

Its a good job alright and you have it right. It doesn't take much of a hook to catch the pocket and make it work. Some of my favorite ones I've done have been tiny Waves compared to the ones from the factory. I think going into the hole is a bad idea so you did the hook the way I'd do it also.

I finally got to see one of the factory Waved Enduras in here the other day for the first time for a pocket clip replacement and it worked very well too though but the blade was thinner profiled than the one you just did.

I've felt in my own stainless ones I've Waved that they were sometimes too slick to get out of the pocket consistantly to make the Wave work and have since started putting some skid guard on the thumb side to help me get them out better. Do you find that to be the case or have you not had any issues?

Indeed, STR. I've been using 3M Stair Tread Tape on my all-steel knives for some time, including on the Police Model that you waved for me. The first one was an Endura, as I recall. I removed the tape from the one I sent you to get it out of the way of the guy who tapped it for tip-up carry.

I usually do a little artsy thing and cut the tape in a wavy shape, often in the profile of a meandering rattlesnake. The tape stays on very well, and does its job.

But the Police Model you waved so superbly for me will probably end up being engraved on both sides, to add a little more traction, and a little esthetic appeal. It's become my favorite EDC.

I have done a couple Spydercos with a Dremel myself, but my work is crude. I don't have the shop set up for the final finishing. Thanks again for the nice, fast work. Post a picture if you can (I can't). I'd like these other fellas to see what you did.

My pics hardly do any of the knives I work on justice. I just my cheap flat bed scanner for fast easy documentation but its worked for a long time.

Here you go though.
